The Department of History and Philosophy at the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) is seeking an assistant tenure-track professor to begin Fall 2010. AOS: American Philosophy (Pragmatism and/or Latin American). AOC: Open, but the Philosophy program seeks to strengthen the areas of Feminism, Kant/Hegel, Religious Studies, and Professional Ethics. Ph.D. in Philosophy is required prior to start date. To be considered for Assistant Professor the candidate must possess a demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and for research and publication. Located in the Rio Grande Valley near the South Texas coast, UTPA is a culturally diverse institution within the University of Texas system.
