Assistant Professor – World Literature

The English Department at the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor (F09/10-08) position in World Literature. Areas of specialization may include but are not limited to Latin America, the Middle East, Asia/Pacific Rim, or Classical periods in any tradition. PhD in English, Comparative Literature, or closely related field by August 2010 and demonstrated evidence of and potential for continuing scholarship required. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate (M.A.) courses and have opportunities to develop new courses in the field.
