Theatrical Performance: Wait Until Dark, by Frederick Knott
Determined to find a heroin stuffed doll they believe is hidden in her apartment, three thugs descend on a recently blinded Greenwich Village housewife. As the trio formulates an elaborate scam to convince their victim to turn over the doll, murder and mayhem ensue, until the young woman levels the playing field by plunging her apartment into total darkness. The climax of Wait Until Dark is one of the most shocking moments in American theatre. CAS Studio II. |
